Work Wardrobe Refresh Part II // Scout & Molly’s

Hope everyone had a fantastic week! This was my last full week in Denver which is such a weird feeling. I’m heading out to Park City, Utah this weekend to spend the weekend with friends, then driving home to Kansas City a few days later before I jet out to New York.

We talked last week about spending a little more on investments pieces for your work wardrobe in the new year. An investment piece I’m loving this season is a classic blazer! Nothing looks for sophisticated or professional in the workplace than a proper fitting blazer. Hint hint, if you buy the blazer too loose fitting it could look sloppy. Buy it too tight and it will look a bit trashy! That’s why a proper fitting one will probably take some time to hunt down.

I found a great fitting blazer from Scout & Molly’s in Cherry Creek North. It’s cotton so it could fit a few different body types. It’s also SO comfortable! No stiff fitting clothing for me. I work so much better when I’m comfortable and confident in what I’m wearing. I could also wear it over a capped sleeve dress, a tank top when I don’t want to show my shoulders, or any other long-sleeve shirt. It’s so versatile!

I paired this black turtle neck and blazer with these soft culotte pants from Kate Spade New York. The wide leg is so in style right now and it also makes them extra comfortable to wear all day. Since they hit around mid-calf, I wore them with some heels. You could also wear them with a simple flat or some fun oxfords!

Best of luck in your search for the perfect blazer! You can grab this one from Scout & Molly’s in Cherry Creek. They are also stalked up with other wardrobe essentials to fit whatever you’re looking for.
