How To Make Your Mornings Easier
I’ll admit, I’m very strange in the way that I don’t mind waking up early. I actually prefer it! It might be from my years of waking up at 5:00AM for skating practice but I am always more productive in the morning. But I’m still human and have my mornings where I feel like I could sleep for 3 more hours. I have a list of tricks that help me every time I’m having one of these “off” days or when sleep is at the bottom of my priority list that week.
PLAN YOUR OUTFIT
There is nothing worse than starring into our closet and finding nothing to wear. Sure, you have clothes spilling out of all corners but still, nothing seems right! Get back the 15 minutes you just wasted starring at everything you own and do this the night before. Something about not having the stress of the morning will make it much easier to pick out your outfit.
SPRAY A LITTLE ROSEWATER
Rosewater is the new “IT” beauty product this year. Every morning I use a quick spritz of Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater. Some of rosewater’s natural benefits include keeping your skin hydrated, reduce some unwanted redness in your skin and help out that stubborn acne. It can also be used as a natural pick-me-up so perfect for the morning when paired with cup of coffee!
GET RID OF TIRED EYES
You may feel awake, but you also may need help with tired looking eyes. I just started using this VIIcode T2O3.0 Oxygen Eye Cream to get rid of any puffiness around my eyes or dark circles. I don’t usually wear eye creams during the day but this product is so light and airy that it just feels natural. That’s why I choose to apply it everyday, twice a day.
This product also comes in another eye cream form that gets rid of dead skin cells underneath your eyes while you sleep!
GET YOUR CUP OF COFFEE
Coffee not your thing? Tea, flavored water or thinking about what you’re going to make for breakfast will also do the trick. There is something about getting to the office and making my first cup of coffee that gets me officially ready to tackle the day. If I need an extra boost on the weekend to get things done, I’ll venture to a local coffee shop to change up the scenery. I grabbed this cup of coffee below at Cafe Henrie on the Lower East Side of NYC. I went early on a Sunday morning so it wasn’t hard at all to find a spot to sit and it was fairly quiet.
